Established in 1976 by local Penticton physicians, the Penticton Medical Staff Association represents 171 medical staff working at Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) including physicians (165), dental surgeons (2), and midwives (4).
The MSA represents the voices of medical staff (such as ideas, concerns, and opportunities) to Interior Health, hospital staff, and at the medical advisory committee level. Our association supports physician recruitment activities, continuing medical education, and workplace wellness and efficiency projects. The MSA is governed by a three member executive board, and supported by a 13 member working group representing each medical department, through funding from Doctors of BC’s Facility Engagement Initiative.
MSA activities and events are funded through annual Member dues, a Library Grant provided by Interior Health, and Facility Engagement funds, designed to improve physician engagement in hospital life, and improve the relationships between physicians and Interior Health.
